A Functional Approach to Lyme Disease with Dr. Nikolas Hedberg, D.C., D.A.B.C.I.

Lyme disease is a bacterial infection that can have devastating effects on the human body.  Overcoming Lyme disease requires more than just antibiotics and proper supplementation.  A Lyme-focused diet is vital in restoring all of the systems of the body so the infection can be reduced.  Specific nutritional strategies will be covered that can immensely help patients recover from this debilitating and misunderstood disease.

Dr. Nikolas Hedberg, D.C., N.M.D., D.A.B.C.I., is a Board Certified Chiropractic Internist (only 200 chiropractors in the world have this training) and Naturopath practicing in the beautiful mountains of Asheville, NC. Dr. Hedberg uses a variety of state of the art diagnostic tests and natural medicines in his truly unique and holistic practice. He has a B.S. in Exercise Science from the University of Florida and he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Texas Chiropractic College.

What is a Chiropractic Internist? A Chiropractic Internist must complete a three year, 300-hour post doctoral course in internal diagnosis, family practice, medical diagnostics and laboratory assessments. They are uniquely qualified to assess and treat ailments within the human body by using the best in alternative therapies.

Dr. Hedberg completed hospital rotations in the following specialties: family practice, internal medicine, endocrinology, gastroenterology, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, anesthesiology, orthopedic surgery and pain management.
